We have had half a dozen customers come back here in the last week all with tank touring 150DE's (off the same shipment) that all say about the same thing. They run great untill you get 2-3 miles down the road, then they cut out- they will just loose power and come to an idle or die- and two just loose power and cut out over 40mph. Wierd thing is they will start right back up and go a ways more before doing it again. We took 2 of them out over the holidays to try and get them to act up for us and we got one that will run good one time, and the next time you get on will spit and sputter above 40 now. The other lasted 6 miles before comming to a hill and dieing. Started right back up though. Took gas caps off both and used rags in place of them and still same issues. Before we tear into these has anyone had similar problems?

Just a thought - you might want to check if these bikes had an automatic cutoff switch installed per California regulations. I understand some units had cutoff switches installed on the kickstand - great place to have one out of adjustment. Course - only California would REQUIRE an auto cutoff but they may have wound up anywhere.

check the hoses, I had a batch that had the fuel hoses kinked right where they were coming out of the fuel pump.

Sounds like a definate fuel pump problem, possibly a bad batch. I serviced a Roketa that had the same symptoms and a new fuel pump from parts4motorsports took care of the problem.
